Max
Max is a playful, loving bulldog with a big personality and a heart full of affection. He loves going on walks and car rides—those are his absolute favorite! While he can be a bit stubborn at times (classic bulldog behavior!), he’s eager to be part of an active, loving home where he can be the center of attention.
Max is friendly, affectionate, and enjoys being around his family. He’s a typical bulldog—playful and sometimes a bit headstrong. He’s very loving but also has a protective streak, especially when it comes to his home. Max can be jumpy when excited and has a lot of energy, so he would do best in a home with older children who won’t be knocked over by his enthusiastic greetings.
Max knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, lay down, and off. He pulls on the leash but absolutely loves his walks. Like many bulldogs, Max can be stubborn—he might ignore commands if he's not in the mood, especially if he's excited or distracted (for example, running out the front door when told to stay). He’ll benefit from continued training and consistent boundaries to help him be his best self.
Max gets along well his current family’s resident English bulldog and enjoys his companionship. However, he has shown aggressive behavior toward chickens (even through a fence), so he may not be a good match for a home with small animals or cats.
Max would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play fetch—his favorite game with anything he can find! He’d love a family who includes him in activities and gives him plenty of attention (he’s a big fan of movie nights on the couch).
Health Note: Max has a fully healed hematoma in his ear flap from a past fight with his sibling, but it doesn't affect him now.
